Venue Illustration

Price range: $185.00 through $445.00

The Details

My venue illustration commissions are archival quality hand painted watercolor renderings that are hand drawn with graphite and aquarelle pencil and archival ink on 100% cotton fine art paper. I use only lightfast pigments to achieve heirloom pieces that will stand the test of time and retain their beautiful colors.

These works capture special occasions and destinations.  My clients commission paintings of their wedding venue, churches, place of business and other structures.

Add a digital file with a personal, one time use license to use your venue painting on wedding day items such as invitations, napkins, a guestbook or other wedding stationery. Learn more about personal, one use licenses here.

Here’s how it works: Simply purchase the illustration online, and then email me at pennypinestudio@gmail.com with an image of the venue. Please include the address of the venue and let me know if the illustration is for an upcoming event or special occasion such as a wedding, party, family reunion, etc. If it is, kindly provide the deadline for completing the piece. The deadline must be at least 4 weeks from the date of purchase.

Please include the following details in your email:

  • Items that MUST be included in the illustration
  • Items that you would like removed. While I always edit out obviously unsightly items, feel free to specify any additional objects or elements you would like to be removed from the final artwork
  • Any edits you’d like that are not reflected in the reference image
  • The color of details of the venue such as doors, shutters, etc. if they are not clearly visible in the photo
  • Whether you want the illustration in vertical or horizontal orientation (most renderings will be horizontal, but for some, vertical is best)
  • Any hand lettering you would like added

Once I receive your email, I will personally respond, confirming the receipt of your email, images, and information. Additionally, I will provide you with an estimated completion date for the rendering, as well as a date when work on the commission will begin.

Please note that returns and exchanges are not accepted for custom pieces. Refunds will not be approved after I have begun work on the portrait.
